In this painting I depict an abstract view of the sea, made in monochrome shades, thus a sense of documentary appears, tempering the process of researching the theme of the diffusion of the organic world with the didactic. The pixelation at the top gives an effect that gives the impression that part of the scene is moving from reality to abstraction, or from a natural state to digital manipulation.
And here the question immediately arises, will digital manipulations be able to destroy humanity? It is already known that digital manipulation can be used to create and spread false information. Disinformation and propaganda are already distorting our reality. The next factor is that Digital manipulation can destroy personal privacy through mass data collection and surveillance that can be used to control and manipulate the masses. If digital technologies such as AI are used without proper controls and ethical frameworks, they can become dangerous. For example, autonomous military systems or surveillance technologies can get out of control or be used in a way that threatens human life. But let’s not forget that AI request is asked by a person, so the most important thing is precisely in whose hands this tool will end up.
