Description

This painting is a joint work with the Ukrainian marine artist Leonid Limanenko, who explores the metaphysics of water in his work. We decided to combine our efforts to draw parallels between the metaphysics of water and the digital world.

Water has always had a symbolic meaning in various cultures and philosophical systems. It is associated with life, purification, fluidity, change and renewal. In a metaphysical context, water can represent concepts such as fluidity, symbolizing the continuous flow of time and life. It adapts to any form given to it and always seeks the least resistance, a reminder of life’s ability to change and adapt.

Next comes the subconscious. Deep waters are often associated with deep, unconscious parts of the human psyche. Water can be a metaphor for the subconscious, which hides unknown or repressed emotions and ideas.

Metaphysics of the digital world

The digital world, on the other hand, is an abstract space where information and data become the basic elements of existence.

In the digital world, information can be endless. This reflects the metaphysical idea of infinity, where each unit of data has the potential for endless multiplication, storage and use.

The digital world creates a new form of reality that exists parallel to the physical world. This parallel reality has its own laws and rules, which makes us think about the nature of existence and consciousness in different dimensions of existence.

In the digital world, everything is an abstraction — from information to virtual environments. This abstract nature of the digital world raises questions about what is real and how we interact with a reality that has no physical essence.

When we consider these two metaphysical concepts together, some interesting intersections emerge:

-Like water, information in the digital world is constantly moving and changing. It flows through networks, adapts to different contexts and forms, becoming part of a continuous flow of knowledge.

Just as water cleans, digital processes can be used to clean data, restructure information, or recover lost data. This can be a metaphor for spiritual cleansing and restoration in a virtual environment.

Like water, the digital world has its unknown depths, where complex algorithms, artificial intelligence and other elements that affect our lives are hidden, but remain hidden from the average user.

In conclusion, the metaphysics of water and the digital world shows how two seemingly different spheres can interact and complement each other, creating new ways to understand reality and existence.
