The metaphor of this work is devoted to the food of primitive people and may evoke associations with the degradation or destruction of nature and health.
Along with the evolution of man, the processes with which he degrades also take place at an intense pace. I include – Excessive consumption of meat, especially processed meat or with a high content of saturated fats. This can lead to diseases such as obesity, cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Raising animals for meat is also often accompanied by the use of antibiotics and hormones that can harm the body.
The production and consumption of meat is often associated with ignoring the suffering of animals. Psychologically, this can lead to a decrease in empathy and tolerance, because a person is alienated from the consequences of his actions in relation to other living beings.
The consumption of meat in large quantities supports an industry that often uses cruel methods of raising animals. This can affect the ethical side of a person, as he unknowingly contributes to animal cruelty. Ethical degradation becomes the cause of such social phenomena as “bullying”, “abuse”, lack of tolerance and “shaming”
Meat production causes significant damage to the environment. Soil degradation, water pollution, and greenhouse gas emissions are all consequences of intensive animal husbandry. A person, supporting such an industry, indirectly contributes to the destruction of ecology.
Thus, a conscious rejection or reduction of meat consumption can be a way to preserve health, increase empathy and ethical standards, as well as protect the environment.
