The impetus for the series of sculptures was a series of photos that I took spontaneously while watching the process of cooking partridge. I felt a certain similarity between a person and what he consumes. I began to think about what and why we eat. How conscious is this choice?
How similar are we to our food? And the question arose, is it worth eating so many chickens? According to statistics, over the past ten years, poultry consumption has increased tenfold.
The numbers are really striking, so if in 2013 production was 25 million metric tons, then in 2024 more than 125 million metric tons. Not to mention the environmental consequences of waste disposal. Why not replace the chicken thigh with falafel, not forever, but there is an alternative. Why such wild numbers?
Tables of consumption and production growth in the world will be added below. In Ukraine, there is also a fanaticism for eating birds, and this despite the fact that the law on
the ban on the addition of growth hormone was not approved, as they did in Europe back in 1998.
You can ask your endocrinologist about the “benefits” of chickens.
I would like scientists to investigate the effect of chicken meat on reducing the intellectual activity of the human brain.
I feel a connection here.
